Refund Policy
Will I get a refund if the CallGenie Appliance can’t be made to work with the end user’s television?
As long as we have checked the end-user’s television for compatibility prior to an order being shipped, you will get a full refund if we can’t get your CallGenie device working with the end user’s television, for any reason (delete).
To get a full refund you must return the CallGenie Appliance within 30 days of purchase, in the same condition as it was delivered to you. This includes placing everything back in its original packaging.
If anything is broken or missing, including any internal packaging or instruction leaflets, there will be a deduction made to recover our costs, as those parts will not be suitable for re-use in another appliance.
Please note:
- We don’t refund the costs of postage or shipping, either our original costs in shipping to you or your costs in returning the CallGenie Appliance to us.
- It is not currently possible for us to refund VAT paid in any country other than the UK
What are my options if my relative no longer needs their CallGenie Appliance
CallGenie Appliances are sold online and such purchases are protected by the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, if you notify us after the first 14 days of receiving your CallGenie Appliance that it is no longer required then Smart Life Solutions may consider purchasing the equipment back from you.
Refunding of Appliances that have not been opened or installed
- Up to 1 months after delivery – 75% refund of original cost less postage/shipping costs
- Up to 3 months after delivery – 50% refund of original cost less postage/shipping costs
- Older than 3 months – no refund
Conditions:
- All components to be refunded must be in as good as new condition and have no damage of any kind .
Refunding of Appliances that have already been installed
- Up to 1 month after delivery – 50% refund of original cost less postage/shipping costs
- Up to 3 months after delivery – 25% refund of original cost less postage/shipping costs
- Older than 3 months – no refund
Conditions:
- The components that make up the CallGenie Appliance will need to be put back into their original packaging. Any missing or damaged packaging will result in that component not being refunded.
- All components to be refunded must be in as good as new condition and have no damage of any kind .
Other Options

Transfer to someone else: If you sell or gift the device, we can transfer the license to the new user. (Setup fees apply)

Repurpose the mini PC: The CallGenie Appliance can function as a basic Windows 10/11 PC with the addition of a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Recycle with us: You’re welcome to send the device back to the address in our website footer for safe recycling if it’s no longer needed.
